Komo Grain Mills – Canadian Warranty Policy
As the exclusive Canadian distributor for Komo grain mills, we stand behind the quality and craftsmanship of every mill we sell. Your satisfaction and confidence in using your mill for years to come is important to us.
Pre-Shipment Inspection
Each Komo mill is thoroughly inspected here in Saskatchewan before shipping to ensure it meets the highest standards of quality and performance. This includes checking for both cosmetic and functional integrity.
Warranty Coverage
Komo Home Mills come with a limited manufacturer's warranty of 12 years (for home use), while KoMo Commercial Mills and grain Flakers carry a limited manufacturer's warranty of 3 years, covering:
- Defects in materials or workmanship
- Mechanical malfunctions not caused by user error
- Replacement parts and labour for warranty-related repairs
All repairs under warranty must be authorized and performed by us or an authorized Komo service technician.
What Is Not Covered
The following are not covered under warranty:
- Damage during shipping (e.g. dents, cracks, broken parts) – these are not considered warranty issues but will be addressed and repaired via courier insurance claims. Please report shipping damage within 48 hours of delivery, and retain all packaging materials for claim purposes.
- Misuse or user error, including:
- Grinding substances not recommended (e.g. oily seeds, large beans, or damp grains)
- Operating the mill in a commercial setting when intended for home use
-Using the machine without proper cleaning or maintenance
- Shipping expenses
- If your mill requires repair, it must be shipped to Living Sky Farms at the customer’s expense.
- Once warranty repairs are completed, Living Sky Farms will cover the cost of return shipping back to you.
- Upon arrival, we will inspect and assess the machine to determine the issue. If the problem is not covered by warranty, we will provide you with an estimate of cost and timeframe before proceeding.
- Your approval is required to complete any non-warranty repairs. If you choose not to approve the repair, we will ship your mill back to you as is, at your cost.
