Fluffy Cloud Waffles
Delight your family and your taste buds with these delicious and nutritious wholegrain waffles! These waffles are light and have a delicious crisp to them that absorbs any toppings you may want to enjoy. They look and taste like traditional white flour waffles but are packed with all the goodness of Whole Soft White Wheat. This is not your grandma's whole wheat waffle recipe! Enjoy!
INGREDIENTS:
3 1/2 cups fresh milled soft white wheat flour
4 Tbsp sugar
2 Tbsp baking powder
4 eggs
3 1/2 cups buttermilk (or milk with a Tbsp of vinegar)
1 cup oil or butter, melted
2 tsp vanilla
DIRECTIONS:
Preheat waffle maker to medium or medium-high heat.
Preheat oven to 170° or its lowest setting.
Add all dry ingredients to your mixer bowl, mix gently.
Add the last 4 ingredients to your dry mixture and incorporate.
Grease your waffle iron with some butter or oil of choice, then follow the cooking instructions for your waffle iron.
When the waffle is done, 4-5 minutes, use a rubber spatula to transfer onto your oven rack to stay warm and crispy!
